70% of Brunei's land is covered by forests and most of it is not polluted. The coastal areas of Brunei are sandy beaches and mangrove swamps. However, Brunei is extremely vulnerable to climate change, with risks such as flooding, high temperature death, occupational health hazards and water shortage. Brunei has formulated a national vision for climate change called "Brunei 2035 vision", which outlines the country's social, economic and environmental objectives. The government has identified six priority areas for action to adapt to future climate change: 1) biodiversity, 2) forestry, 3) coastal and flood protection, 4) health, 5) agriculture and 6) fisheries.
